DECK KING began in 1997 as a very small home-based, two-person business by partners Mike Burnham King and Sharon Hutchison. Shortly thereafter DECK KING became official as a small business and expanded to need formalized workshop premises in Fish Eagle Park, Kommetjie. The administrative and information office is in Fish Hoek.

Each project is approached with individuality, practicality and vision. Every assignment is completed with emphasis given to detail, structural strength and aesthetics.

Quotes are given free of charge unless extraordinary circumstances prevail.

Mike has years of hands-on carpentry experience and the ability to artistically visualize projects. He enjoys creating new designs with original results for clients and is in his element when approached to be artistic and produce an innovative customized design.

We do have contacts for personalized drafting of plans when Council approved plans are required, otherwise all work is personally designed by Mike with structural specifications relative to each project.
